Business Vs Job

 What's Better than a Salary

If for whatever reason, you were ever presented with two income generation avenues,

Formal employment; with an assured relatively 'good', agreeable and consistent paycheck....

or

A business opportunity; an investment prosition which eventhough is retrospectively risky if properly implemented, bears long term projections of exponential growth into unimaginable heights of financial affluence...

Which would you opt for...? Does it not go without saying..?

In my perspective, and I bet that you to would agree with me, a significant number of us would gladly opt for the Job offer while easily forfeiting the business opportunity. This is sure nothing new in today's society. In fact it is actually obvious that most of us prefer working for a wages rather than take the, pressumably, tedious task of innovatively facing the market head-on with enterprising ways to generate an income.

By this I mean its more enticing to be a cog in someone else's entrepreneurial scheme, in the the pursuit of developing financial stability rather do it ourselves, be our own boss.

Which begs the question... Is it because most people do not know that there is potentially more money more oppotunities, flexibility and independence in BUSINESS than in these covetted 8 to 5 'jobos'?

In the pursuit of answers, I came across these words, said by the author of 'Rich dad, Poor dad', Robert Kiyosaki and I quote..

"One of the reasons the poor are poor, is because they are NOT TRAINED TO RECOGNIZE entrepreneurship opportunities."

It is interesting that we spend a whole lot of time in school and what do we learn..? How to WORK FOR WAGES instead of how to actually have MONEY WORKING FOR US.

"Profit is better than Wages, for Wages can make you a living but Profits can bring you a Fortune."

In the world we living in today, the reality is that academic excellence is actually overrated! Which means that being at the top of your class, more often than not, never really guarantee that you will be at the top of life. You could graduate as the best student in Finance but it doesn't mean you will make more money than everybody else. The best graduating Law student does not necessarily become the best lawyer. The fact is, life requires more than the ability to understand a concept, memorise it and reproduce it in an exam.

School rewards people for their memory. Life rewards people for their imagination.

School rewards caution, life rewards daring.

School hails those who live by the rules. Life exalts those who break the rules and set new ones.

Do I mean people shouldn't study hard in school? Oh, heck no!! I don't.. You should, and if possible, actually need to. But then again you sure ought not sacrifice every other thing on the altar just of a First Class honors.

Don't limit yourself to the classroom. Whatever it takes try doing something practical. Take a leadership position. Start a business and fail. Do something you believe in!

Think less of becoming an excellent student but think more of becoming an excellent person.

Don't make the classroom to be your world but Make the world your classroom.

Note

Entrepreneurship is the salt of life, and we all, clearly, need to think of avenues to diversify our income.

So in conculsion, I challenge you today to THINK INVESTMENT and stop fighting over increments of salaries, it still won't be enough.

What do you think about this, please leave your comments and insight below. Thank you.
